Kṛṣṇa Defeats Bāṇāsura and Receives Śiva’s Prayers

दर्पोपशमनायास्य प्रवृक्णा बाहवो मया । सूदितं च बलं भूरि यच्च भारायितं भुव: ॥ ४८ ॥
darpopaśamanāyāsya pravṛkṇā bāhavo mayā sūditaṁ ca balaṁ bhūri yac ca bhārāyitaṁ bhuvaḥ
അവന്റെ ദർപ്പം ശമിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ അവന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങൾ ഛേദിച്ചു. ഭൂമിക്കു ഭാരമായിരുന്ന അവന്റെ മഹാസൈന്യത്തെയും ഞാൻ സംഹരിച്ചു।
