तामनाद‍ृत्य वैदर्भो दुष्टराजन्यचोदित: । सङ्कर्षणं परिहसन् बभाषे कालचोदित: ॥ ३४ ॥

tām anādṛtya vaidarbho duṣṭa-rājanya-coditaḥ saṅkarṣaṇaṁ parihasan babhāṣe kāla-coditaḥ

ആ ദിവ്യവാണിയെ അവഗണിച്ച്, ദുഷ്ടരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പ്രേരണയാൽ വൈദർഭൻ രുക്മി— കാലം തന്നെ തള്ളുന്നതുപോലെ— ശ്രീസങ്കർഷണനെ (ബലരാമനെ) പരിഹസിച്ച് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു।
