इति गोप्यो हि गोविन्दे गतवाक्कायमानसा: । कृष्णदूते समायाते उद्धवे त्यक्तलौकिका: ॥ ९ ॥ गायन्त्य: प्रियकर्माणि रुदन्त्यश्च गतह्रिय: । तस्य संस्मृत्य संस्मृत्य यानि कैशोरबाल्ययो: ॥ १० ॥

ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ് ഗോവിന്ദനിൽ വാക്ക്‑ദേഹം‑മനം സമർപ്പിച്ച ഗോപികൾ, കൃഷ്ണദൂതൻ ശ്രീ ഉദ്ധവൻ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ലൗകികകാര്യങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു. പ്രിയ കൃഷ്ണന്റെ ബാല്യ‑കൈശോര ലീലകൾ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും സ്മരിച്ചു പാടുകയും ലജ്ജ വിട്ട് കരയുകയും ചെയ്തു।
The word bālyayoḥ here indicates that ever since their childhood, the gopīs had been completely in love with Kṛṣṇa. Thus even though social custom dictated that they not reveal their love to others, they forgot all external considerations and openly wept before Kṛṣṇa’s messenger, Uddhava.
This verse shows the gopīs’ total surrender—speech, body, and mind absorbed in Govinda—so intensely that worldly norms no longer mattered when Kṛṣṇa’s messenger arrived.
Because Uddhava came as Kṛṣṇa’s dūta (messenger), and their longing for Kṛṣṇa overpowered all external etiquette; their lives were centered only on Govinda.
Align thoughts with remembrance, speech with kīrtana and truthful kindness, and actions with service—so devotion becomes the priority over mere social approval.
