गोप्यस्तप: किमचरन् यदमुष्य रूपंलावण्यसारमसमोर्ध्वमनन्यसिद्धम् । द‍ृग्भि: पिबन्त्यनुसवाभिनवं दुराप-मेकान्तधाम यशस: श्रिय ऐश्वरस्य ॥ १४ ॥

gopyas tapaḥ kim acaran yad amuṣya rūpaṁ lāvaṇya-sāram asamordhvam ananya-siddham dṛgbhiḥ pibanty anusavābhinavaṁ durāpam ekānta-dhāma yaśasaḥ śriya aiśvarasya

ഗോപികൾ എന്ത് തപസ്സു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുമോ! അവർ കണ്ണുകളാൽ നിരന്തരം പാനം ചെയ്യുന്നത് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണന്റെ ആ രൂപാമൃതം—ലാവണ്യത്തിന്റെ സാരം, സമമോ അതിലുമുയർന്നതോ ഇല്ലാത്തത്. ആ രൂപം യശസ്സിന്റെയും ശ്രീയുടെയും ഐശ്വര്യത്തിന്റെയും ഏകാന്തധാമം—സ്വയംസിദ്ധം, നിത്യനവീനം, അത്യന്തം ദുർലഭം.
