ममैतद् दुर्लभं मन्य उत्तम:श्लोकदर्शनम् । विषयात्मनो यथा ब्रह्मकीर्तनं शूद्रजन्मन: ॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration

mamaitad durlabhaṁ manya uttamaḥ-śloka-darśanam viṣayātmano yathā brahma- kīrtanaṁ śūdra-janmanaḥ

Translation

ഞാൻ വിഷയാസക്തനായ ഭോഗിയിൽ മുങ്ങിയവൻ; അതിനാൽ ഉത്തമശ്ലോകനായ ഭഗവാന്റെ ദർശനം എനിക്ക് എത്ര ദുർലഭമോ, ശൂദ്രജന്മന് വേദമന്ത്രകീർത്തനം അത്ര തന്നെ ദുർലഭമെന്ന് ഞാൻ കരുതുന്നു.
