एकदा ते पशून्पालाश्चारयन्तोऽद्रिसानुषु । चक्रुर्निलायनक्रीडाश्चोरपालापदेशत: ॥ २६ ॥

ഒരു ദിവസം അവർ മലഞ്ചരിവുകളിൽ മൃഗങ്ങളെ മേയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ, കള്ളരും കാവലാളുകളും എന്ന നാടകത്തിൽ ഒളിച്ചുകളി കളിച്ചു; ചിലർ കള്ളരായി, ചിലർ ഗോപാലകരായി അഭിനയിച്ചു.
