Actually there is no separation from Kṛṣṇa for the pure devotees of the Lord. Although apparently abandoned by Kṛṣṇa, the gopīs were actually tightly connected to Him by the spiritual process of śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ viṣṇoḥ, hearing and chanting the glories of the Lord.

FAQs

This verse describes pure absorption (smaraṇa) where mind, speech, and actions become centered on Kṛṣṇa, so strongly that even one’s ordinary sense of home and bodily identity is forgotten.

In the narrative of Canto 10, Chapter 30, the gopīs are overwhelmed by love in separation (viraha). Their devotion is so intense that social and domestic concerns fade as they sing Kṛṣṇa’s qualities and seek Him.

Bring mind, speech, and habits into alignment with devotion—regular kīrtana/japa, speaking and hearing about Kṛṣṇa, and choosing daily actions that support remembrance—so spiritual identity gradually becomes stronger than worldly distraction.
