Indra’s Prayers and the Coronation of Śrī Kṛṣṇa as Govinda

mayedaṁ bhagavan goṣṭha- nāśāyāsāra-vāyubhiḥ ceṣṭitaṁ vihate yajñe māninā tīvra-manyunā
Because his worship (the yajña meant for him) was stopped, Indra became proud and angry and tried to destroy the cowherd settlement with torrential rain and violent winds.
After realizing Krishna’s supremacy and his own offense in attacking the Vraja-vāsīs, Indra approaches the Lord and admits his wrongdoing as part of seeking forgiveness.
It warns that wounded ego and anger can lead to destructive actions; humility, accountability, and surrender to God restore clarity and harmony.
