उदहृष्यन् वारिजानि सूर्योत्थाने कुमुद् विना । राज्ञा तु निर्भया लोका यथा दस्यून् विना नृप ॥ ४७ ॥
udahṛṣyan vārijāni sūryotthāne kumud vinā rājñā tu nirbhayā lokā yathā dasyūn vinā nṛpa
ഹേ രാജാ പരീക്ഷിത്! ശരത്കാല സൂര്യോദയത്തിൽ താമരകൾ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ വിരിയുന്നു; എന്നാൽ രാത്രിവികാസിയായ കുമുദം വിരിയില്ല. അതുപോലെ ശക്തനായ രാജാവിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ ജനങ്ങൾ നിർഭയരാകും; കള്ളന്മാർ മാത്രം ഭയപ്പെടും।
