Aghāsura-vadha: The Killing and Deliverance of Aghāsura

श्रीसूत उवाच इत्थं स्म पृष्ट: स तु बादरायणि- स्तत्स्मारितानन्तहृताखिलेन्द्रिय: । कृच्छ्रात् पुनर्लब्धबहिर्द‍ृशि: शनै: प्रत्याह तं भागवतोत्तमोत्तम ॥ ४४ ॥

ശ്രീസൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ശൗനകാ! ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ബാദരായണി ശ്രീശുകദേവൻ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണവിഷയങ്ങൾ സ്മരിച്ചതോടെ ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങളുടെ ബാഹ്യപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. പിന്നെ വലിയ പ്രയാസത്തോടെ പതുക്കെ ബാഹ്യബോധം വീണ്ടെടുത്തു പരിക്ഷിത്തിനോട് കൃഷ്ണകഥ പറയാൻ തുടങ്ങി.

This verse says Śukadeva’s senses were completely overtaken by remembrance of the Infinite Lord, to the point that he had to regain outward awareness before replying—showing the depth of bhakti-absorption.
