यत्पादपद्ममकरन्दनिषेवणेन ब्रह्मादय: शरणदाश्नुवते विभूती: । कस्माद् वयं कुसृतय: खलयोनयस्ते दाक्षिण्यदृष्टिपदवीं भवत: प्रणीता: ॥ ७ ॥
yat-pāda-padma-makaranda-niṣevaṇena brahmādayaḥ śaraṇadāśnuvate vibhūtīḥ kasmād vayaṁ kusṛtayaḥ khala-yonayas te dākṣiṇya-dṛṣṭi-padavīṁ bhavataḥ praṇītāḥ
ഹേ സർവ്വാശ്രയനായ പ്രഭോ! നിന്റെ പദപദ്മങ്ങളുടെ മകരന്ദം—അഥവാ സേവാഭാവത്തിന്റെ തേൻ—ആസ്വദിച്ചാൽ ബ്രഹ്മാദികൾ സിദ്ധി പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടരും കുസൃതികളും അസുരകുലജന്മക്കാരും—എങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ കരുണാദൃഷ്ടിയുടെ പഥത്തിൽ എത്തി? ഇത് നിന്റെ അഹേതുക കൃപ കൊണ്ടുമാത്രമാണ്।
