Bali Mahārāja’s Surrender, Prahlāda’s Praise, and the Lord’s Mercy
Sutala and Future Indrahood
rakṣiṣye sarvato ’haṁ tvāṁ sānugaṁ saparicchadam sadā sannihitaṁ vīra tatra māṁ drakṣyate bhavān
This verse depicts Vishnu personally assuring complete protection—on all sides—along with the devotee’s companions and necessities, emphasizing His constant nearness to the surrendered soul.
After Gajendra took shelter of the Lord in distress, Vishnu rescued him and then reassured him that divine protection is not momentary—He remains ever-present for the surrendered devotee.
Practice sincere prayer and reliance on God while doing your duty; this verse encourages steadiness in bhakti, trusting that the Lord’s guidance and protection can be experienced as constant support.
