न पुमान् मामुपव्रज्य भूयो याचितुमर्हति । तस्माद् वृत्तिकरीं भूमिं वटो कामं प्रतीच्छ मे ॥ २० ॥
na pumān mām upavrajya bhūyo yācitum arhati tasmād vṛttikarīṁ bhūmiṁ vaṭo kāmaṁ pratīccha me
ഹേ ചെറുബാലാ! എന്നോടു ഭിക്ഷ ചോദിക്കാൻ വന്നവന് പിന്നെ മറ്റെവിടെയും വീണ്ടും ചോദിക്കേണ്ടിവരരുത്. അതുകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ ജീവിതോപാധിക്ക് മതിയാകുന്നത്ര ഭൂമി എത്ര വേണമെങ്കിലും എന്നിൽ നിന്ന് സ്വീകരിക്കൂ.
