शिवपूजाकथनम् (Śiva-pūjā-kathana) — The Exposition of Śiva Worship
മുൻ സൂര്യപൂജാ ഭാഗം സമാപിച്ചതിന് ശേഷം ഈ അധ്യായം ഈശ്വരൻ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന ശിവപൂജയെ കർശനമായ ക്രമബദ്ധ കർമ്മക്രമമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ആചമനം, പ്രണവസംസ്കൃത അർഘ്യം, അസ്ത്രാംബുവാൽ ദ്വാരപ്രോക്ഷണം, പ്രവേശരക്ഷകരുടെയും സഹദേവതകളുടെയും പൂജ (ഗണ, സരസ്വതി, ലക്ഷ്മി; നന്ദി, ഗംഗ; മഹാകാല, യമുന) എന്നിവ പറയുന്നു. സാധകൻ കാൽമുട്ട്/കുതികാൽ പ്രഹാരാദി ദേഹക്രിയകളോടെ വലതുകാൽ വെച്ച് പ്രവേശിച്ച് ഇടത് ദ്വാരസ്തംഭം ആശ്രയിച്ച് അകത്തു കടന്ന്, ഉദുംബരസ്തംഭത്തിൽ അസ്ത്രരക്ഷ സ്ഥാപിച്ച് മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ വാസ്തു-അധിപതി ബ്രഹ്മാവിനെ പൂജിക്കുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് കലശാദി സാമഗ്രികളുടെ ക്രമീകരണം, ഭൂതശുദ്ധി, പ്രാണായാമം, ഗ്രന്ഥിഭേദം, ദ്വാദശാന്തം, ബിന്ദുധ്യാനം; മണ്ഡലഭാവനയും ബീജമന്ത്രങ്ങളും കൊണ്ട് പഞ്ചതത്ത്വ (പൃഥ്വി-ജലം-അഗ്നി-വായു-ആകാശം) ശോധനം ചെയ്ത് ഹൃദയപീഠസ്ഥാപനം. സകലീകരണം, അസ്ത്രപരിധി, ശക്തിജാലം, മഹാമുദ്ര എന്നിവയ്ക്കുശേഷം ഹൃദയകമലത്തിൽ ശിവന്റെ അന്തഃപൂജ, അർഘ്യ-ഉപകരണസജ്ജീകരണം, ലിംഗശുദ്ധി വിവരിക്കുന്നു. പഞ്ചവക്ത്ര ദശഭുജ ശിവധ്യാനം, മൂല/ശിരഃ/ശിഖാ/കവച/അസ്ത്ര ന്യാസം, ഉപചാരക്രമം, ക്രമാനുസൃത ദ്രവ്യാഭിഷേകം; അവസാനം ആരതി, ഭോഗപൂജ, ജപാഹുതി, സ്തോത്രം, പ്രദക്ഷിണ, അഷ്ടമൂർത്തി ശിവനോട് അഷ്ടാംഗ നമസ്കാരം, അഗ്നി മുതലായ രൂപങ്ങളിൽ ധ്യാനത്തോടെ തുടർപൂജയും പറയുന്നു.
