Suta Goswami (narrating the Kailāsa Saṃhitā teaching to the sages, with the verse praising Lord Śiva’s transcendent nature)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It presents Śiva as both transcendent (agocara—beyond sensory-mind grasp) and immanent (āviḥ—manifest), and declares that knowledge and refuge in Him cure the core affliction of saṃsāra, the repeated cycle of becoming.
Though Śiva’s highest reality is beyond perception, the tradition affirms His compassionate manifestation for devotees—classically approached through Saguna worship such as Śiva-liṅga pūjā—so the seeker can move from form-based devotion toward realization of the formless essence.
Meditate on Śiva as the Veda-essence and the healer of saṃsāra while doing japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) alongside simple Śiva-liṅga worship (water/abhisheka), cultivating surrender and inner detachment from bhava.
