मुक्तामणिसुवर्णानि वस्त्राण्याभरणानि च।।।।यद्यदिच्छेत्तदेवास्या देयं मच्छन्दतो यथा।
muktā-maṇi-suvarṇāni vastrāṇy ābharaṇāni ca |
yad yad icchet tad evāsyā deyaṃ mac-chandato yathā ||
“ໄຂ່ມຸກ ແກ້ວມະນີ ຄຳ ເຄື່ອງນຸ່ງຫົ່ມ ແລະເຄື່ອງປະດັບ—ນາງປາດຖະນາສິ່ງໃດ ຈົ່ງໃຫ້ນາງໃນທັນທີ ຕາມຄວາມປະສົງຂອງເຮົາ”.
Pearls, gems or gold, clothes or ornaments, whatever she desires, be made available to her without any hesitation.
Dharma cannot be purchased: material gifts offered within coercion are ethically hollow and cannot legitimize an unrighteous act.
Rāvaṇa instructs the guards to provide Sītā with luxury items, attempting to soften her resistance through comfort and temptation.
Sītā’s incorruptibility is the implied virtue—her adherence to satya and marital fidelity stands beyond material inducement.
