सूक्ष्ममूर्त्तिं महामूर्त्तिं विद्यामूर्त्तिममूर्तिकम् । कवचं सर्वदेवानां नमस्ये वारिजेक्षणम्

“Vārijekṣaṇa” is a standard epithet of Viṣṇu, describing his lotus-like eyes and indicating the verse is a devotional salutation to Viṣṇu.
