कृपवाक्यं तथा नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel and a Discourse on Statecraft
तत्र नाहं तथा मन्ये यथायमितरो जन:
tatra nāhaṃ tathā manye yathāyam itaro janaḥ
«ທີ່ນັ້ນ ຂ້ອຍບໍ່ເຊື່ອວ່າ ເລື່ອງຈະເປັນໄປຕາມທີ່ຄົນທົ່ວໄປນີ້ຄາດຄິດ. ຕາມທັດສະນະຂອງຂ້ອຍ ຄວາມເຂົ້າໃຈຂອງເຂົາບໍ່ແມ່ນມາດຕະຖານແທ້ຂອງຄວາມເປັນຈິງ»។
वैशम्पायन उवाच
One should not accept a common or superficial opinion as decisive; careful discernment is required, and the speaker signals a more accurate understanding than that of an ordinary observer.
Vaiśampāyana, as narrator, interjects a corrective judgment: he rejects the view attributed to an ‘ordinary person’ and indicates that the situation should be understood differently than common assumption.
