Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
ततस्तु द्रौपदी गत्वा तदा भीम॑ महानसे । उपातिष्ठत कल्याणी कौरव्यं पतिमन्तिकम्,तदनन्तर कल्याणस्वरूपा द्रौपदी पाकशालामें अपने पति कुरुनन्दन भीमसेनके पास गयी
tatastu draupadī gatvā tadā bhīmaṁ mahānase | upātiṣṭhata kalyāṇī kauravyaṁ patim antikam ||
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ຕໍ່ມາ ດຣອບະດີ ນາງຜູ້ເປັນມງຄົດ ໄດ້ໄປຫາ ບີມະ ຢູ່ໃນຫ້ອງຄົວໃຫຍ່ ແລະຢືນຢູ່ໃກ້ຊິດກັບສາມີຂອງນາງ ວີຣະບຸລຸດຜູ້ເກີດໃນວົງກູຣະວະ. ພາບນີ້ຊີ້ໃຫ້ເຫັນການພຶ່ງພາຄູ່ຄອງໃນຍາມປິດບັງແລະອັນຕະລາຍ ແລະຄວາມໝັ້ນຄົງສງົບໆຂອງໜ້າທີ່ຜົວເມຍໃນຍາມທຸກຍາກ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights steadfastness in dharma during hardship: Draupadī seeks her husband’s presence and protection while maintaining composure and propriety, reflecting loyalty and resilience under concealment and threat.
During the Pāṇḍavas’ incognito stay, Draupadī goes into the palace kitchen and approaches Bhīma, standing close to him—setting up a private moment of counsel and support amid the tensions of their hidden life.
