नारदेन गरुडात्मजानां नामकीर्तनम् | Nārada’s Enumeration of Garuḍa’s Descendants
नित्यानुषक्तवैरा हि भ्रातरो देवदानवा: । परपक्षेण सम्बन्धं रोचयिष्याम्यहं कथम्,“यद्यपि देवता और दानव परस्पर भाई ही हैं, तथापि इनमें सदा वैरभाव बना रहता है। ऐसी दशामें मैं शत्रुपक्षके साथ अपनी पुत्रीका सम्बन्ध कैसे पसंद करूँगा?
nityānuṣaktavairā hi bhrātaro devadānavāḥ | parapakṣeṇa sambandhaṃ rocayiṣyāmy ahaṃ katham ||
ນາຣະດະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ແມ່ນແທ້ວ່າ ເທວະດາ ແລະ ດານະວະ ເປັນພີ່ນ້ອງກັນ ແຕ່ຄວາມອາຄາດພະຍາບາດຂອງເຂົາເຈົ້າມີຢູ່ຕະຫຼອດ. ໃນສະພາບແບບນັ້ນ ຂ້ອຍຈະຍອມຮັບການຜູກພັນໃຫ້ລູກສາວຂອງຂ້ອຍກັບຝ່າຍສັດຕູໄດ້ແນວໃດ?»
