Omens and Reception During Keśava’s Departure
महिमानं तु कृष्णस्य भूय एवाभिवर्धयन् । सुघोष: पतगेन्द्रेण ध्वजेन युयुजे रथ:
mahimānaṃ tu kṛṣṇasya bhūya evābhivardhayan | sughoṣaḥ patagendreṇa dhvajena yuyuje rathaḥ |
ເພື່ອເພີ່ມພຣະສະຫງ່າລາສີຂອງພຣະກຣິດສະນະໃຫ້ຍິ່ງຂຶ້ນ ລົດສົງຄາມນັ້ນ—ຊື່ «ສຸໂຆສະ»—ສ່ອງປະກາຍດ້ວຍທຸງທີ່ມີເຄື່ອງໝາຍພະຄຣຸດ (ກະຣຸດະ) ຈອມແຫ່ງນົກ. ເມື່ອມັນເຄື່ອນໄປ ລໍ້ລົດກໍກ້ອງດັງທຸ້ມໜັກ ດັ່ງປະກາດອຳນາດແລະເຈດຈຳນົງທ່າມກາງການຕຽມສົງຄາມ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how righteous authority is communicated not only through words but through symbols and conduct: the Garuḍa-emblem and the chariot’s grave sound signify protection, resolve, and divine alignment, reinforcing Kṛṣṇa’s stature in a moment of impending conflict.
Vaiśampāyana describes a chariot named Sughoṣa, adorned with a Garuḍa-marked banner. As it moves, its wheels produce a deep, resonant sound, and this spectacle is said to further magnify Kṛṣṇa’s greatness.
