अध्याय ३९: विदुरेण धृतराष्ट्राय नीत्युपदेशः
Timely Counsel, Association, and Kin-Duty
इदं वच: शक्ष्यसि चेद् यथाव- न्निशम्य सर्व प्रतिपत्तुमेव । यश: पर प्राप्स्सि जीवलोके भयं न चामुत्र न चेह ते5स्ति,मेरी इस बातको सुनकर यदि आप सब ठीक-ठीक समझ सकेंगे तो इस मनुष्यलोकमें आपको महान् यश प्राप्त होगा और इहलोक तथा परलोकमें आपके लिये भय नहीं रहेगा
idaṃ vacaḥ śakṣyasi ced yathāvan niśamya sarvaṃ pratipattum eva | yaśaḥ paraṃ prāpsyasi jīvaloke bhayaṃ na cāmutra na ceha te 'sti ||
ວິດູຣະກ່າວວ່າ: ຖ້າພະອົງຟັງຖ້ອຍຄຳນີ້ແລ້ວ ເຂົ້າໃຈໄດ້ຖືກຕ້ອງ ແລະນຳໄປປະພຶດປະຕິບັດໄດ້ ພະອົງຈະໄດ້ຮັບກຽດຍົດສູງສຸດໃນໂລກມະນຸດນີ້; ແລະສຳລັບພະອົງ ຈະບໍ່ມີຄວາມຢ້ານກົວ—ທັງໃນໂລກນີ້ ແລະໃນໂລກໜ້າ.
