अपापां यदुपैक्षस्त्वं कृष्णामेतां सभागताम् | तत् दुःखमतितिक्षाम मा वधिष्म कुरूनिति,“तुमने द्रौपदीको बिना किसी अपराधके सभामें बुलाकर जो उसका तिरस्कार किया, उस दुःखको हमलोगोंने इसलिये चुपचाप सह लिया है कि हमें कौरवोंका वध न करना पड़े
Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: apāpāṃ yad upekṣas tvaṃ kṛṣṇām etāṃ sabhāgatām | tat duḥkham atitikṣāma mā vadhiṣma kurūn iti ||
ຢຸທິສຖິຣະ (Yudhiṣṭhira) ກ່າວວ່າ: «ເພາະເຈົ້າເບິ່ງຢູ່ຢ່າງເຉື່ອຍເຉື່ອຍ ເມື່ອ ກຣິສນາ (Kṛṣṇā) ດຣາວປະດີ (Draupadī) ຜູ້ບໍ່ມີຜິດນີ້ ຖືກນຳເຂົ້າມາໃນສະພາ, ພວກເຮົາຈຶ່ງອົດທົນຄວາມທຸກນັ້ນໄວ້ຢ່າງງຽບໆ—ເພື່ອບໍ່ໃຫ້ພວກເຮົາຖືກຜັກໃຫ້ຕ້ອງຂ້າກຸຣຸ».
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights ethical responsibility and the moral cost of passive indifference to injustice. Yudhiṣṭhira frames their earlier endurance as deliberate restraint—bearing humiliation and pain to avoid escalating into fratricidal violence against the Kurus.
Yudhiṣṭhira recalls the earlier assembly outrage in which Draupadī, though blameless, was brought into the sabhā and dishonored while others remained indifferent. He says the Pāṇḍavas tolerated that suffering so they would not be compelled to kill the Kurus, underscoring the tension between patience and the drive toward war.
