sampaśyema bhogacayaṃ mahāntaṃ sahāsmābhir dhṛtarāṣṭrastha rājñaḥ
ສັນຊະຍະເວົ້າວ່າ: «ເບິ່ງເຖີດ—ພ້ອມກັບພວກເຮົາ ສໍາລັບພະຣາຊາ ທຣິຕຣາສະຕຣະ ໄດ້ສະສົມກອງໃຫຍ່ແຫ່ງຄວາມສຸກສົມບັດ ແລະ ຊັບພະຍາກອນ. ແຕ່ແມ່ນກະນັ້ນ ຄວາມພໍໃຈຂອງພະອົງກໍບໍ່ເກີດຂຶ້ນ»។
संजय उवाच
Material abundance (bhoga) does not guarantee contentment; unchecked desire and attachment can keep a ruler dissatisfied even when resources are immense, undermining ethical judgment and dharma.
Sañjaya draws attention to the great wealth and pleasures amassed under Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s authority, highlighting that despite such accumulation, the king (and his courtly situation) remains unsated—an implicit critique of the moral failure that fuels the coming conflict.
