ततः: समभवद् युद्ध मम तस्य च भारत । तुमुलं सर्वभूतानां लोमहर्षणमद्भुतम्,भारत! तदनन्तर मेरा और परशुरामजीका भयंकर युद्ध छिड़ गया, जो समस्त प्राणियोंके रोंगटे खड़े कर देनेवाला और अद्भुत था
tataḥ samabhavad yuddhaṁ mama tasya ca bhārata | tumulaṁ sarvabhūtānāṁ lomaharṣaṇam adbhutam, bhārata ||
ຕໍ່ຈາກນັ້ນ ໂອ ພາຣະຕະ ການຮົບໄດ້ເກີດຂຶ້ນລະຫວ່າງຂ້ອຍແລະເຂົາ—ເປັນການປະລະທີ່ຄຶກຄື້ນ ນ່າພິສົດ ເຮັດໃຫ້ສັດທັງປວງຂົນລຸກຊັນ।
भीष्म उवाच

Bhīṣma narrates that a fierce, tumultuous battle broke out between himself and Paraśurāma, so extraordinary and terrifying that it stirred awe in all beings.
