भीष्म–दुर्योधनसंवादः — शिखण्डिनं न हन्तुं कारणकथनम्
Amba-ākhyāna prologue
एष चेदिपति: शूर: सह पुत्रेण भारत | महारथानां सुकरं महत् कर्म करिष्यति,भारत! यह शौर्यसम्पन्न चेदिराज अपने पुत्रके साथ आकर महारथियोंके लिये सहजसाध्य महान् पराक्रम कर दिखायेगा
eṣa cedipatiḥ śūraḥ saha putreṇa bhārata | mahārathānāṃ sukaraṃ mahat karma kariṣyati, bhārata ||
ພີສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ພາຣະຕະ! ກະສັດເຊດີຜູ້ກ້າຫານນີ້ ຈະມາພ້ອມກັບບຸດຂອງຕົນ ແລະຈະສຳເລັດກິດການອັນຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່—ກິດທີ່ຈະກະທຳໄດ້ໂດຍງ່າຍ ແມ່ນແຕ່ຕໍ່ໜ້າບັນດາມະຫາຣະຖີຜູ້ເລີດລ້ຳ»។
