भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the ideal of unwavering courage in righteous combat: a warrior who does not succumb to fear or grief and advances with steady confidence, embodying the disciplined valor expected in kṣatriya-dharma.
Bhīṣma is describing a formidable fighter’s demeanor on the battlefield: upon seeing the clash, he shows no agitation and, smiling, charges at enemies positioned along the chariot-lanes of the battle formation.
