वायुदेव उवाच
True kingship is grounded in inner discipline and moral excellence: forgiveness, endurance, self-restraint, integrity, truthfulness, scriptural learning, vigilance, compassion, and respectful obedience to wise guidance.
Vāyu-deva addresses Yudhiṣṭhira and enumerates the qualities that make him fit for righteous rule, presenting him as an embodiment of ideal royal virtues in the Udyoga Parva’s ethical deliberations before the great conflict.
