एतत्‌ ते सर्वमाख्यातं वैशम्पायनकीर्तितम्‌ । व्यासाज्ञया समज्ञातं सर्पसत्रे नूपस्य हि

Transliteration

etat te sarvam ākhyātaṃ vaiśampāyana-kīrtitam | vyāsājñayā samajñātaṃ sarpasatre nṛpasya hi ||

Translation

ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ທັງໝົດນີ້ ຂ້າໄດ້ເລົ່າໃຫ້ພວກເຈົ້າຟັງຢ່າງຄົບຖ້ວນແລ້ວ—ເປັນເລື່ອງ Itihāsa ທີ່ໄວສັມປາຍະນະໄດ້ປະກາດ ຕາມຄໍາສັ່ງຂອງພຣະ຤ິສີ ວະຍາສະ ໃນພິທີບູຊາງູຂອງກະສັດ. ປະເພນີທັງໝົດນັ້ນ ທີ່ໄດ້ຍິນແລະສືບຕໍ່ກັນມາ ຂ້າໄດ້ນໍາມາເລົ່າຕໍ່ໜ້າພວກເຈົ້າແລ້ວ.»
