Chapter 72 — Royal Duty: protection of subjects, taxation, punishment, and appointments

मा सम लुब्धांश्व मूर्खाश्व॒ कामार्थे च प्रयूयुज: । अलुब्धान्‌ बुद्धिसम्पन्नान्‌ सर्वकर्मसु योजयेत्‌,तुम लोभी और मूर्ख मनुष्योंको काम और अर्थके साधनमें न लगाओ। जो लोभरहित और बुद्धिमान हों, उन्हींको समस्त कार्योमें नियुक्त करना चाहिये

mā sama lubdhāṁś ca mūḍhāṁś ca kāmārthe ca prayuñjyāḥ | alubdhān buddhisampannān sarvakarmasu yojayet ||

ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ຢ່ານຳຄົນໂລບ ແລະຄົນໂງ່ ໄປໃຊ້ໃນເລື່ອງກາມະແລະຊັບສິນ. ແຕ່ຈົ່ງແຕ່ງຕັ້ງຜູ້ບໍ່ໂລບ ແລະມີປັນຍາດີ ໃຫ້ຮັບຜິດຊອບທຸກວຽກງານ».
