Chapter 72 — Royal Duty: protection of subjects, taxation, punishment, and appointments

दापयित्वा कर धर्म्य राष्ट्र नीत्या यथाविधि । तथैतं कल्पयेद्‌ राजा योगक्षेममतन्द्रित:,प्रजासे धर्मानुकूल कर ग्रहण करके राज्यका नीतिके अनुसार विधिपूर्वक पालन करते हुए राजाको आलस्य छोड़कर प्रजावर्गके योगक्षेमकी व्यवस्था करनी चाहिये

Bhīṣma uvāca: dāpayitvā karaṃ dharmyaṃ rāṣṭra-nītyā yathā-vidhi | tathaitaṃ kalpayet rājā yoga-kṣemam atandritaḥ ||

ພີດສະມະເວົ້າວ່າ: «ເມື່ອເກັບພາສີທີ່ຊອບທຳຕາມຫຼັກທຳ ໂດຍອີງຕາມນິຕິລັດ ແລະຕາມຂັ້ນຕອນກົດໝາຍຢ່າງຖືກຕ້ອງແລ້ວ ກະສັດພຶງບໍ່ປະມາດ ຈັດວາງເພື່ອສະຫວັດດີພາບ ແລະຄວາມປອດໄພ (ໂຍກະເຂມ) ຂອງປະຊາຊົນ».
