Rāma–Jāmadagnya-janma-kāraṇa and Kṣatra-kṣaya
Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
यथा च जामदग्न्येन कोटिश: क्षत्रिया हता: । उद्भूता राजवंशेषु ये भूयो भारते हता:
yathā ca jāmadagnyena koṭiśaḥ kṣatriyā hatāḥ | udbhūtā rājavaṃśeṣu ye bhūyo bhārate hatāḥ ||
ດັ່ງທີ່ໃນການກ່ອນ ຈາມະດັກນະ (ປະຣະຊຸຣາມ) ໄດ້ຂ້າລ້າງກະສັດນັກຮົບ (kṣatriya) ເປັນຈຳນວນນັບໂກດິ, ສັນໃດກໍສັນນັ້ນ ບັນດາສາຍພັນ kṣatriya ທີ່ເກີດຂຶ້ນອີກໃນລາຊະວົງຕ່າງໆ ກໍຖືກຕັດລົງອີກຄັ້ງໃນສົງຄາມພາຣະຕະນີ້.
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights the repetitive nature of adharma-driven conflict: even when royal lines regenerate, violence returns if the underlying ethical disorder persists. It serves as a warning that power without dharma leads to cyclical destruction.
Vāyudeva draws a historical parallel: Paraśurāma once annihilated kṣatriyas in vast numbers; later, kṣatriyas reappeared in royal dynasties, and now in the Bhārata (Kurukṣetra) war they have again been slain.
