आसीत्‌ तु मे भोगपते संशय: पुण्यसंचये । सो5हमुछ्छव्रतं साधो चरिष्याम्यर्थसाधनम्‌,नागराज! मुझे पुण्यसंग्रहके विषयमें संशय हो गया था। मैं यह निश्चय नहीं कर पाता था कि किस साधनको अपनाऊँ? किंतु अब वह संदेह दूर हो गया है। साधो! अब मैं अपने अभीष्ट अर्थकी सिद्धिके लिये उज्छव्रतका ही आचरण करूँगा

āsīt tu me bhogapate saṁśayaḥ puṇya-saṁcaye | so 'ham ucchvavrataṁ sādho cariṣyāmy artha-sādhanam ||

ພຣາຫມັນໄດ້ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ຈອມແຫ່ງຄວາມສຸກສົມບູນ (bhogapati), ຄວາມສົງໄສໜຶ່ງເຄີຍເກີດຂຶ້ນໃນຂ້າ ກ່ຽວກັບການສະສົມບຸນ. ຂ້າບໍ່ອາດຕັດສິນໄດ້ວ່າ ຄວນເລືອກວິໄນໃດເປັນຫົນທາງ. ແຕ່ບັດນີ້ ຄວາມລັງເລນັ້ນໄດ້ຖືກຂັບໄລ່ແລ້ວ. ໂອ ຜູ້ດີ—ໂອ ພຣະນາກະຣາຊ—ເພື່ອໃຫ້ບັນລຸເປົ້າໝາຍທີ່ຂ້າປາດຖະໜາ, ຂ້າຈະປະພຶດວຣະຕະທີ່ເອີ້ນວ່າ “ອຸຈຊະວະວຣະຕະ” (Ucchvavrata) ເປັນຫົນທາງຂອງຂ້າ»។
