धर्मद्वारबहुत्वविमर्शः — Reflection on the Many ‘Doors’ of Dharma (Śānti-parva 342)
वरदं नमस्व कौन्तेय हव्यकव्यभुजं नम | कुन्तीकुमार! तुम हव्यदाता विष्णुको नमस्कार करो, शरणदाता श्रीहरिको शीश झुकाओ, वरदाता विष्णुकी वन्दना करो तथा हव्यकव्यभोक्ता भगवान्को प्रणाम करो
varadaṃ namasva kaunteya havyakavyabhujaṃ nama | kuntīkumarā! tvaṃ havyadātā viṣṇuko namaskāra karo, śaraṇadātā śrīhariko śīśa jhukāo, varadātā viṣṇukī vandanā karo tathā havyakavyabhoktā bhagavānko praṇāma karo
ອາຣະຈຸນກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ບຸດແຫ່ງກຸນຕີ! ຈົ່ງນະມັດສະການພຣະວິສະນຸ ຜູ້ປະທານພອນ. ຈົ່ງຄຳນົບຕໍ່ພຣະອົງຜູ້ຮັບຮອງຂອງບູຊາ (havis) ແລະຂອງບັນພະບຸລຸດ (kavya). ຈົ່ງກົ້ມສີສະຕໍ່ພຣະສຣີຫຣິ ຜູ້ເປັນທີ່ພຶ່ງພາຂອງສັດທັງປວງ ແລະຈົ່ງປະນົມມືຕໍ່ພຣະພະຄະວານ ຜູ້ເສວຍຮັບທັງ havis ແລະ kavya».
अर्जुन उवाच
The verse emphasizes bhakti expressed through humility: recognizing the Lord as the giver of boons and refuge, and honoring Him as the rightful recipient of sacrificial and ancestral offerings. Ethically, it frames worship as gratitude, surrender, and alignment with dharma.
In the didactic setting of Śānti Parva, Arjuna’s speech urges a ‘Kaunteya’ (a son of Kuntī) to offer salutations to Viṣṇu/Śrīhari, praising Him with ritual epithets—boon-giver, protector, and acceptor of havis and kavya—thereby reinforcing devotion within a dharma-oriented discourse.
