व्यास उवाच
The verse teaches devotional humility directed to the highest reality: the Supreme is nirguṇa (beyond qualities), aja (unborn), and viśvarūpa (all-pervading). Even the gods depend on that ultimate refuge, so the disciple should ground reverence in the transcendent source rather than in limited powers.
Vyāsa addresses a disciple (implied by the vocative context) and instructs them to bow to the Supreme Lord described with philosophical epithets—attributeless, unborn, universal—framing the teaching as an act of worship and recognition of the ultimate support of all celestial beings.
