Educational Q&A

Darśana (true vision of the Divine) is not gained by personal insistence or mere effort; it is granted through prasāda (grace). The ethical implication is humility and disciplined devotion—one becomes fit, and the Lord’s favor completes the attainment.

Bhishma addresses Brihaspati and emphasizes that the Lord, to whom offerings or a sacred portion are dedicated, is not accessible at will. Only the one who receives divine favor is able to behold Him, underscoring the supremacy of grace over self-directed seeking.
