कथं त्वहमसंश्लिष्टो गच्छेयं गतिमुत्तमाम् | नावर्तेयं यथा भूयो योनिसंकरसागरे,फिर वे सोचने लगे, मैं सब प्रकारकी उपाधियोंसे मुक्त होकर किस प्रकार उस उत्तम गतिको प्राप्त करूँ, जहाँसे फिर इस संसार-सागरमें आना न पड़े
kathaṁ tv aham asaṁśliṣṭo gaccheyaṁ gatim uttamām | na āvarteyaṁ yathā bhūyo yoni-saṅkara-sāgare ||
ນາຣະດະກ່າວວ່າ: «ຂ້ອຍຈະບັນລຸສະພາບອັນສູງສຸດໄດ້ແນວໃດ ໂດຍບໍ່ຍຶດຕິດ ແລະບໍ່ພັນພົວ—ເພື່ອຈະບໍ່ກັບຄືນອີກເຂົ້າສູ່ມະຫາສະໝຸດແຫ່ງການເກີດເປັນໂລກີ, ທະເລແຫ່ງການເກີດປົນປົວ ແລະເກີດຊ້ຳໆ?»

The verse frames liberation as freedom from attachment and entanglement (asaṁśliṣṭaḥ). The ethical-spiritual aim is to reach the ‘highest state’ (uttamā gati) characterized by non-return—ending the cycle of repeated births symbolized as an ocean (sāgara) of saṁsāra.
Nārada, speaking as a seeker, asks for the means to attain the supreme destination without falling back into worldly existence. The question sets up instruction on the disciplines or understanding by which one becomes unattached and avoids further rebirth.
