Educational Q&A

Auspicious actions performed by the sinless and self-disciplined bear corresponding fruits, including elevated and purified rebirth; moral quality of action determines the quality of future experience.

In the didactic discourse of the Śānti Parva, Vyāsa states a general principle of karmic fruition: good deeds done in this life lead to appropriate rewards, often expressed as birth in a purified womb and the attainment of the deed’s fruit in a subsequent life.
