The Unmanifest, Prakṛtis, and the Sense-Complex
अद्वैधमनसं युक्त शूरं धीरं विपश्चितम् । न श्री: संत्यजते नित्यमादित्यमिव रश्मय:
advaiḍhamanasaṁ yuktaṁ śūraṁ dhīraṁ vipaścitam | na śrīḥ saṁtyajate nityam ādityam iva raśmayaḥ ||

पराशर उवाच
Prosperity tends to remain with a person who is inwardly undivided (free from doubt), disciplined in action, courageous, steady, and discerning; inner clarity and steadfast virtue are presented as the basis for lasting success.
In Śānti Parva’s instruction on conduct and well-being, Parāśara delivers a maxim: he praises a set of virtues and illustrates their fruit through a simile—fortune stays with such a person as rays remain with the sun.
