पराशर उवाच
When delusion (moha) overtakes people, discernment collapses and self-interest replaces dharma; the pursuit of personal pleasure then expresses itself as mutual oppression, producing social and ethical ruin.
Parāśara describes a condition of moral confusion in which certain beings (spoken of in the feminine plural) lose their former clarity of judgment and, driven by desire for their own comfort, try to prosper by harming one another.
