Śoka-śamana: Kṛṣṇa’s Consolation and Nārada’s Exempla to Sṛñjaya
Chapter 29
आविक्षितस्य वै सत्रे विश्वेदवा: सभासद: । मरुतः परिवेष्टार: साध्याश्नासन् महात्मन:,“महामना मरुत्तके यज्ञमें विश्वेदेवणण सभासद थे और मरुद्गण तथा साध्यगण रसोई परोसनेका काम करते थे
Āvikṣitasya vai satre viśve devāḥ sabhāsadaḥ | marutaḥ pariveṣṭāraḥ sādhyāśnāsan mahātmanaḥ ||
ພະວາຍຸກ່າວວ່າ: «ໃນສັດຣະ (satra) ພິທີຍັດຂອງອາວິກສິຕ, ພວກວິສເວເທວະ (Viśvedevas) ນັ່ງເປັນສະມາຊິກໃນສະພາ. ພວກມະຣຸດ (Maruts) ເປັນຜູ້ຊ່ວຍແຈກຈ່າຍເຄື່ອງບູຊາແລະອາຫານ, ແລະພວກສາດຫຍະ (Sādhyas) ກໍຮ່ວມຮັບປະທານ. ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ພິທີຂອງຜູ້ອຸປະຖຳຜູ້ມີຈິດໃຫຍ່ນັ້ນ ສັກສິດແລະຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ຫາທຽບບໍ່ໄດ້ ຈົນແມ່ນເທວະກໍຮັບໜ້າທີ່ຢ່າງເປັນລະບຽບ».
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse underscores that when a sacrifice is conducted in accordance with dharma—proper order, reverence, and generosity—even the gods are portrayed as participating harmoniously, each taking a fitting role. Ethical excellence in ritual and patronage creates social and cosmic concord.
Vāyu describes the grandeur of Āvikṣit’s satra: the Viśvedevas sit as honored assembly members, the Maruts act as attendants distributing provisions, and the Sādhyas partake of the meal—depicting a divinely attended sacrificial gathering.
