जनक–पराशर संवादः — वर्ण-गोत्र-धर्मविचारः

न भवति विद्‌ुषां महद्धयं यदविदुषां सुमहद्धयं भवेत्‌ । न हि गतिरधिकास्ति कस्यचित्‌ सकृदुपदर्शयतीह तुल्यताम्‌,अज्ञानियोंको जिस संसारसे महान्‌ भय बना रहता है, उससे ज्ञानियोंको वह गुरुतर भय तनिक भी नहीं प्राप्त होता है। ज्ञानी पुरुषोंमेंसे किसीको भी अधिक या न्यून गति नहीं प्राप्त होती--वे सब समान गतिके भागी होते हैं। 'सकृद्धिभातो होष ब्रह्मलोक:” इत्यादि श्रुति यहाँ ज्ञानियोंकी गतिकी समानता दिखाती है

na bhavati viduṣāṁ mahad bhayaṁ yad aviduṣāṁ su-mahad bhayaṁ bhavet | na hi gatir adhikāsti kasyacit sakṛd upadarśayatīha tulyatām ||

ພີດສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: ສິ່ງທີ່ເປັນຄວາມຢ້ານກົວອັນໃຫຍ່ສຳລັບຜູ້ບໍ່ຮູ້ ບໍ່ເກີດເປັນຄວາມຢ້ານກົວອັນໜັກໜ່ວງໃນຜູ້ຮູ້. ເພາະໃນບັນດາຜູ້ຮູ້ ບໍ່ມີໃຜໄດ້ຮັບຄວາມໄປສູ່ປາຍທາງທີ່ສູງກວ່າ ຫຼື ຕ່ຳກວ່າ; ທຸກຄົນມີທາງໄປອັນເທົ່າທຽມກັນ. ຖ້ອຍຄຳໃນເວດະທີ່ເລີ່ມດ້ວຍ “sakṛd … brahmalokaḥ” ຖືກອ້າງອີງໃນນີ້ ເພື່ອຊີ້ໃຫ້ເຫັນຄວາມເທົ່າທຽມໃນສະພາບສຸດທ້າຍຂອງຜູ້ຮູ້.

Worldly fear is rooted in ignorance; wisdom removes that dread. Moreover, among true knowers there is no hierarchy of final attainment—scripture is invoked to affirm the essential equality of their spiritual destiny.

In Shanti Parva, Bhishma continues his instruction on dharma and liberation-oriented wisdom, contrasting the ignorant person’s fear of saṁsāra with the wise person’s steadiness, and supporting the point by appealing to a Śruti statement about the knower’s destination (Brahmaloka) and its sameness.
