Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
एष ब्रह्मा च विष्णुश्व शिवश्चैव जगत्पति: । सोमश्न भगवान् देव: सर्वे च परमर्षय:
eṣa brahmā ca viṣṇuś ca śivaś caiva jagatpatiḥ | somaś ca bhagavān devaḥ sarve ca paramarṣayaḥ | (samudvignaṃ samīkṣya tvāṃ svastīty ūcur jayāya te |)
ວະສິດຖະກ່າວວ່າ: «ເບິ່ງເຖີດ—ພຣະພຣະຫມາ, ພຣະວິສນຸ, ແລະພຣະສິວະ ຈອມເຈົ້າແຫ່ງໂລກ; ພ້ອມທັງພຣະໂສມະຜູ້ມີພຣະສິຣິ ແລະມະຫາຣິສີອັນສູງສຸດທັງຫມົດ. ເມື່ອເຫັນເຈົ້າຫວັ່ນໄຫວ ພວກເຂົາຈຶ່ງກ່າວຄຳອວຍພອນອັນເປັນມົງຄຸນ ເພື່ອໄຊຊະນະຂອງເຈົ້າ»។
वसिष्ठ उवाच
When the mind is shaken (samudvigna), one should receive and cultivate ‘svasti’—auspicious confidence grounded in dharma. The verse presents divine and sage authority as restoring steadiness and courage, implying that righteous effort is supported by higher order and wise counsel.
Vasiṣṭha points out that the great deities—Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Śiva—along with Soma and the supreme seers, observe the addressed person’s distress and pronounce auspicious words, specifically wishing victory.
