इन्द्रेण वृत्रवधः, ब्रह्महत्याया अनुगमनम्, तथा च विभाजन-निवासविधानम्

अप्रमादाद्‌ भयं रक्षेत्‌ ध्वासं क्षेत्रज्ञणीलनात्‌ इच्छां द्वेषं च काम॑ च धैर्येण विनिवर्तयेत्‌,अप्रमादसे भयको दूर करे, आत्माके चिन्तनसे श्वासकी रक्षा करे अर्थात्‌ प्राणायाम करे और थीैर्यके द्वारा इच्छा, द्वेष एवं कामका निवारण करे

apramādād bhayaṁ rakṣet dhvāsaṁ kṣetrajña-nīlanāt | icchāṁ dveṣaṁ ca kāmaṁ ca dhairyeṇa vinivartayet ||

ພີສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: ຄວນປັດໄລ່ຄວາມຢ້ານກົວດ້ວຍຄວາມບໍ່ປະມາດ. ຄວນເຮັດໃຫ້ລົມຫາຍໃຈມັ່ນຄົງ ແລະປົກປ້ອງມັນ ໂດຍການພິຈາລະນາພາຍໃນຕໍ່ “ຜູ້ຮູ້ແຫ່ງສະໜາມ” (ອາດຕະ) ນັ້ນແມ່ນ ການຄວບຄຸມລົມປານາຢາມ (prāṇāyāma) ຢ່າງມີວິໄນ. ແລະດ້ວຍຄວາມອົດທົນອັນໝັ້ນຄົງ ຄວນຫັນກັບຈາກຄວາມຢາກ, ຄວາມຊັງ, ແລະກາມ—ເພື່ອໃຫ້ຈິດເໝາະສົມຕໍ່ທຳ ແລະສັນຕິພາຍໃນ.
