Ātma-saṃyama-dharma: One-pointedness of Mind and Senses (शुक–व्यास संवादः)
अभिवाद्य गुरु ब्रूयादधीष्व भगवन्निति । इदं करिष्ये भगवन्निदं चापि कृतं मया
abhivādya guruṁ brūyād adhīṣva bhagavann iti | idaṁ kariṣye bhagavann idaṁ cāpi kṛtaṁ mayā ||
ເມື່ອໄດ້ນະມັດສະການອາຈານດ້ວຍຄວາມເຄົາລົບແລ້ວ ສິດຄວນປະນົມມືແລະກ່າວວ່າ: «ທ່ານຜູ້ນ່າເຄົາລົບ ຂໍໃຫ້ທ່ານສອນຂ້ອຍ». ແລະຄວນລາຍງານດ້ວຍຄວາມຊື່ສັດແລະວິໄນວ່າ: «ວຽກນີ້ຂ້ອຍຈະເຮັດດຽວນີ້; ອີກວຽກນັ້ນຂ້ອຍໄດ້ເຮັດສຳເລັດແລ້ວ». ຂໍ້ຄຳນີ້ວາງການຮຽນໄວ້ເທິງຄວາມເຄົາລົບ ຄວາມຮັບຜິດຊອບ ແລະຄວາມພ້ອມຕໍ່ໜ້າທີ່.
व्यास उवाच
Learning is to be approached through reverence toward the teacher and ethical self-reporting: the student requests instruction respectfully and demonstrates discipline by clearly stating what has been completed and what will be done next.
Vyāsa describes proper student behavior in the guru’s presence: after salutation, the student asks to be taught and informs the teacher about completed and intended duties, reflecting orderly conduct within the educational setting.
