व्यास उवाच
The verse teaches that the Vedas function as a perennial source of nourishment for dharma and yogic disciplines, just as rain sustains life on earth. Across changing ages, they preserve and strengthen the means of right living and spiritual practice.
In Śānti Parva’s instruction on dharma and spiritual disciplines, Vyāsa uses a natural analogy—rain nourishing beings—to explain how Vedic revelation continually supports and revitalizes yogic paths and righteous conduct in every yuga.
