तथा धर्मादपेतेन कर्मणा गह्ितेन ये । महतः प्राप्तुवन्त्यर्थास्तिषां तत्राभवत् स्पृहा
tathā dharmādapetena karmaṇā garhitena ye | mahataḥ prāptuvanty arthās tiṣāṃ tatrābhavat spṛhā ||
ຜູ້ໃດໄດ້ຮັບຊັບສິນຫຼາຍດ້ວຍການກະທຳທີ່ຫຼຸດອອກຈາກທຳມະ ແລະຖືກຕຳນິ ຄວາມຢາກໄດ້ຊັບດ້ວຍວິທີນັ້ນກໍຍິ່ງເພີ່ມພູນໃນໃຈຂອງເຂົາເຈົ້າ।
शक्र उवाच
Wealth gained through adharma tends to intensify greed: success by blameworthy means reinforces the same pattern, making desire (spṛhā) grow rather than bringing contentment.
Śakra (Indra) is explaining a moral principle: when people secure great riches through condemned, dharma-opposed actions, they become even more eager to repeat that very mode of acquisition.
