River-of-Saṃsāra Metaphor
सर्वे सर्वेषु भूतेषु यथावत् प्रतिपेदिरे । सर्वे दाक्षायणीपुत्रा: प्राजापत्या महाबला:
sarve sarveṣu bhūteṣu yathāvat pratipedire | sarve dākṣāyaṇīputrāḥ prājāpatyā mahābalāḥ |
ພີດສະມະກ່າວວ່າ: «ພວກເຂົາທັງໝົດປະພຶດຕົນຕໍ່ສັດມີຊີວິດທຸກຊະນິດຢ່າງເໝາະສົມແລະຖືກຕ້ອງ. ພວກເຂົາທັງໝົດເກີດຈາກບຸດສາວຂອງທັກຊະ ແລະເປັນລູກຫຼານຜູ້ມີພະລັງອັນຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ຂອງປຣະຊາປະຕິ ກັດສະຍະປະ.»
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights ethical universality: true dharmic character is shown by behaving appropriately toward all beings, not selectively. Proper conduct (yathāvat) is presented as a defining mark of the noble.
Bhishma is describing a group of beings/lineages by praising their conduct and then identifying their origin: they are born from Daksha’s daughters and are the powerful descendants of Prajapati Kashyapa.
