कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च
Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation
इन्द्र बोले--दैत्ययाज बलि! पहले जो तुम सहस्रों वाहनों और भाई-बन्धुओंसे घिरकर सम्पूर्ण लोकोंको संताप देते और हम देवताओंको कुछ न समझते हुए यात्रा करते थे और अब बन्धु-बान्धवों तथा मित्रोंसे परित्यक्त होकर जो अपनी यह अत्यन्त दीनदशा देख रहे हो, इससे तुम्हारे मनमें शोक होता है या नहीं? ।।
śakra uvāca— prītiṁ prāptātulāṁ pūrvaṁ lokāṁś cātmavaśe sthitān | vinipātam imaṁ bāle śocasy aho na śocasi ||
ອິນທຣາ (ສັກກະ) ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ບະລິ ຜູ້ດັ່ງເດັກນ້ອຍ, ໃນກ່ອນການ ເຈົ້າໄດ້ຮັບຄວາມປິຕິຍິນດີອັນຫາທຽບບໍ່ໄດ້ ແລະເຮັດໃຫ້ໂລກທັງປວງຢູ່ໃຕ້ອຳນາດຂອງເຈົ້າ. ແຕ່ບັດນີ້ ເຈົ້າຕົກຕ່ຳຢ່າງໜັກ ຖືກຍາດພີ່ນ້ອງແລະມິດສະຫາຍລະທິ້ງ. ເຫັນຄວາມຜັນຜວນນີ້ ເຈົ້າໂສກເສົ້າບໍ—ຫຼືບໍ່ໂສກເສົ້າເລີຍ?»
