Manifest–Unmanifest Discrimination and the Supreme Path of Withdrawal
वासुदेव: परमिदं विश्व॒स्य ब्रह्मणो मुखम् । सत्यं ज्ञानमथो यज्ञस्तितिक्षा दम आर्जवम्,सम्पूर्ण वेदका मुख जो प्रणव है वह तथा सत्य, ज्ञान, यज्ञ, तितिक्षा, इन्द्रिय-संयम, सरलता और परम तत्त्व--यह सब कुछ वासुदेव ही है
vāsudevaḥ param idaṃ viśvasya brahmaṇo mukham | satyaṃ jñānam atho yajñas titikṣā dama ārjavam |
ພີສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ວາສຸເທວະ ແມ່ນບໍ່ພຽງແຕ່ແຫຼ່ງກໍ່ກຳເນີດອັນສູງສຸດ ແຕ່ຍັງເປັນ “ໃບໜ້າ” (ການປະກົດອັນໂດດເດັ່ນທີ່ສຸດ) ຂອງຈັກກະວານ ແລະຂອງພຣະພຣະຫມັນ. ຄວາມສັດຈິງ, ປັນຍາທາງວິນຍານ, ການບູຊາຍັດ, ຄວາມອົດທົນ, ການຄວບຄຸມຕົນ, ແລະຄວາມຕົງຕໍ່—ຄຸນທຳເຫຼົ່ານີ້ ແລະຫຼັກສູງສຸດທີ່ມັນຊີ້ໄປ ໂດຍແທ້ແລ້ວ ແມ່ນວາສຸເທວະເອງ».
भीष्म उवाच
All cardinal virtues—truth, knowledge, sacrifice, endurance, self-control, and integrity—are not merely human qualities but expressions of the Supreme; recognizing Vāsudeva as their ground unifies ethics with devotion and metaphysics.
In the Śānti Parva’s instruction on dharma and liberation, Bhīṣma teaches Yudhiṣṭhira by identifying Vāsudeva (Krishna) as the highest reality and as the source and essence of the principal dharmic virtues.
